Holy Week

 Hi,

In week 9 we learnt about Holy Week. Holy Week is the week coming up to Easter. We celebrate Jesus's last week before he dies on the cross. The days in Holy Heek is Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday. 

Holy week is the end of Lent. Lent has 40 days and we celebrate coming up to Easter when Jesus dies. The colour purple is the colour of Lent it represents the three meanings of purple in Lent. The first one is royalty of Christ, the next one is his passion and death for our sins and the last one is the coming of spring.  

Palm Sunday Starts Holy Week and Easter Sunday finishes Holy Week.

Multiplication and Division Using rounding and compensating

    

Hi,

Last week in maths I did multiplication and division using rounding and compensating.

All you do is add some shapes as many as the last number of your question. Then you put the first number of your question into the shape. Then you have to add as many numbers as you need to make the number even and you can take numbers of too.

Have you ever tried to do multiplication and division using rounding and compensating?

This week in maths we were learning rounding and compensating and tidy numbers

Goal: Use a broad range of mental strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems.

Here is a question of tidy numbers

29 + 33 =

32 + 30 =62

Here is a question of rounding and compensating

36 + 28 =

36 + 30 = 66 - 2 =64

Welcome back to my blog week 5 Term 1 we are talking about how to make a awesome blog post.

Some people thing that you just write 1 or 2 sentences but its more then just that.

You need to draw attention to the readers so there interesting and fun. You could use poppy colours or make your writing bold and fun.

So this is what I've done to help people know its more then what they have been doing.

God's Creation

We have been learning about God's creation and that it is holy because God made it. I can look after God's creation by: 

Not littering because it can destroy the environment and kill animals and plants. 

Not pulling out nature from the ground, letting it grow. 

Recycling paper, making sure it goes in the correct bin.
